12:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: Being Sypha Belnades, A Castlevania Story – In 1986, Konami released one of the greatest video game franchises ever produced: Castlevania, the story of the Belmont family’s pursuit to free the world from Dracula and his monster hoard. And in 2017, Netflix brought that franchise to life with the animated hit, Castlevania. Join actress Alejandra Reynoso as she discusses what it’s like to be Sypha Belnades, one of the main protagonists on the critically-acclaimed hit.

1:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: My life as…starring Seth Gilliam – Seth Gilliam has played many, many roles in film and on television. From Ellis Carver on the HBO drama The Wire to Pvt. Sugar Watkins in the 1997 cult classic Starship Troopers, Seth’s career has been full of excitement. Sit down with Seth and Fraendy Clervaud as they talk about the ups and downs of Hollywood and where Mr. Gilliam’s career goes from here…2:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: Batman: The Animated Series Reunion – Batman faces off against some of his greatest villains in this rousing roundtable discussion moderated by Columbia’s own Chad Bowers! Join Conroy, Barbeau, Glover and Pershing and they relive the 90’s while discussing arguably the greatest animated cartoon of all time! Q&A will be available so have those questions handy…

Come join Mrs. Najimy as she discusses her career and reflects on such memorable roles in Hocus Pocus, Sister Act, Rat Race and so many more. Be sure to bring your best questions for the Q&A portion.

4:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: Michael Rooker, Man of a Thousand Characters – You may know him as Yondu Udonta or Merle Dixon, but did you know that Michael Rooker has been in 65+ movies, 35+ television programs and voiced many video games. He’s truly a Hollywood renaissance man! Join us for a chat with Mr. Rooker as we discuss his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his likable villain on The Walking Dead and his many other famous roles. Don’t forget to bring your questions for our Q&A portion of the panel.

12:30 pm – #SC3 Presents: Voice Acting 101, A Beginners Guide – Join veteran voice actresses Kathy Najimy, Diane Pershing and newcomer Alejandra Reynoso as they discuss their experiences in the whirlwind world of voice acting. With over 80+ years of acting experience on stage, there’s certainly something any aspiring voice actress (or actor) can learn from these industry professionals.

1:30 pm – #SC3 Presents: Surviving a zombie apocalypse with Seth Gilliam – In 2003, a cultural phenomenon was created by Image Comics. Seven years later, the first episode of The Walking Dead aired Halloween night on AMC. Since then, audiences have experienced extreme highs and depressing lows as characters come and go. Fortunately for us, Father Gabriel is still alive and crushing the zombie hoard! Come get Seth’s take on the direction of the show and what it’s like to be a main cast member of this worldwide hit!

2:30 pm – #SC3 Presents: Voices of DC – What do you do when you have the DC Trinity in one location? You bring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman together, on one stage for one amazing hour!!! Join Kevin Conroy, George Newbern and Susan Eisenberg as they discuss what it’s like to voice such iconic characters over the past 20+ years.

11:00 am – #SC3 Presents: Jeremy Whitley, Comic Artist/Writer – Ever wanted to write comics? Or what about creating your own comic that is SO GOOD that it’s nominated for an Eisner? Or working on a fan favorite series such as My Little Pony? Join Jeremy as he discusses past projects, what gives him inspiration and what’s his next big project…hint, it’s Marvel’s Future Foundation!

12:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: Bitter Root, the Eisner-nominated series – Local comic artist Sanford Greene and local writer Chuck Brown are here to discuss their acclaimed hit, Bitter Root, a comic series that follows the Sangerye family as they battle to save New York from supernatural forces in a 1920’s Harlem. And for all things Bitter Root, feel free to pay them a visit in Artist Alley at tables A-47 and A-48.

1:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: WLTX/CBS Premiere of Evil – Starring Soda City’s own, Mike Colter, Evil is a psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The series focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a carpenter as they investigate the Church's backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there’s a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.

2:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: Shawn Durington’s “Let’s draw monsters!” – Artist and all-around good guy Shawn Durington has been drawing kid-friendly monsters for over 25 years. When we say monsters…think Monsters, Inc. style; cute, lovable and absolutely adorable. Shawn has agreed to pass along some of his wisdom and knowledge to any child who has a desire to draw and create original characters, like Shawn’s very own Melvin. This panel will give children (and adults too) the opportunity to create their own monsters. Not only that, necessary supplies to participate will be available courtesy of Soda City Comic Con. So come out and let’s get creative.

3:00 pm – #SC3 Presents: Ron Joseph, Corey “Rock Bottom” Davis and Gregbo Watson in “My Life as an Independent…” – Join three independent artists and writers as they offer up insight on what it takes to “make it in the business.” With over 30+ years of experience between them, they are sure to have some great knowledge and are ready to help the next generation of aspiring creators.

12:30 pm – #SC3 Presents: Writing Comics the Carolina Way, featuring Chad Bowers and Jeremy Whitley – What happens when you assemble an Eisner-nominated writer (Whitley) and one hometown hero? You get a rousing panel that’s sure to entertain as well as educate. Bring your questions and thirst for knowledge as our amazing writers talk about what it’s been like to bring the spotlight on Carolina creators!

Come join them as they discuss their past and current projects and what may be on the horizon. Feel free to ask them about recent accomplishments (Eisner-nomination) and where they see the comic industry headed. We cannot think of a better way to wrap an amazing 2019 convention!
